A liberal and diverse pluralist religion accepting of believers without needing them to leave their current religions
Unitarianism today may have a good name, but, that hasn't always been the case. For example in the USA in 1811 a Unitarian, Chief Justice James Kent revealed that he only thought Christianity to be worthwhile, and that Islam and Buddhism were heralded by "imposters". After a person was convicted of blasphemy, the Unitarian propounded that "we are a Christian people, and the morality of the country is deeply engrafted upon Christianity and not upon the doctrines of worship of those impostors Mahomet and the Grand Lama"1.
